Gladnest Studio is the two of us, partners in life, exploring the world of children’s stories. We have always loved picture books, illustrations and animations, so we started making our own: picture books and little games for kids aged 3 to 8, about the everyday moments and small adventures that fill a child’s day.
We are two partners in life who love the world of children’s stories. In our free time we make picture books for children aged 3 to 8, plus free little games and ideas for grown-ups that carry each story into real life.
Each series grows with your child: gentle read-alouds for the littlest listeners, then busy seek-and-find adventures for curious early readers.

Seek-and-find adventures
Richly illustrated stories set in busy places, where searching the pictures is part of the plot. Book 1: The House of a Hundred Windows.
Every picture book and free game we’ve made so far, in one place. Pick your child’s age to see what fits.
Pick the part of the day that needs a little help. Each moment has a book, ideas for grown-ups and, where we have one, a game.
Each free game picks up where a book leaves off, so children can play the story, then try it for real.
Every story starts with something children live every day: a bedtime, a new home, a goodbye at the door.
Few words and rich pictures, so the grown-up reading aloud has time to pause, point and ask.
Prompts to answer, things to find and free games that carry the story off the page.
No scolding. Characters work things out with a grown-up close by, and every story lands somewhere safe.
Gladnest Studio is the two of us, partners in life, who have always loved the world of children’s stories: picture books, illustrations and animations. It is our small, personal project. In our free time we make picture books for children aged 3 to 8, plus free games and ideas for grown-ups that go with them. Our books are on Amazon, and this website is available in English, German, Spanish and French.
Picture books in two series, plus free kids’ games. Little Daily Life is a series of short read-aloud picture books for ages 3 to 5, starring Pip, about bedtime, getting dressed, brushing teeth and saying goodbye at preschool. Look Closer is a seek-and-find picture book series for ages 4 to 8, and Moss and the Whole Year Round is a standalone read-aloud about the four seasons for ages 3 to 7. Our free browser games, Blueberry Brush Hunt and Feather Hunt, carry the stories off the page.
Yes. The Biggest, Loudest I Love You is a read-aloud picture book for ages 3 to 5 about Tula, a little elephant whose “I love you” keeps getting stuck in her tummy. All day she finds new chances to say it to Mama, Papa, her big brother and Grandma, and your child gets to say it with her. An 80-page hardcover, available on Amazon.
Yes. Find Pistachio! Germany is a seek-and-find activity book for ages 6 to 10. Mira, Dad and Pistachio the budgie take the train through twelve German cities, from Berlin to Lübeck, and every busy panorama hides exactly one Pistachio. 96 pages with answers at the back, as a paperback and a hardcover, out now on Amazon.
Yes. Moss and the Whole Year Round follows Moss, a tiny made-up woodland creature, through his first spring, summer, fall and winter. His fur changes color with every season, he keeps one treasure from each, and when his snowflake melts he learns that some treasures are kept in the heart. A 42-page read-aloud paperback, out now on Amazon.
At this age children love short picture books about things they live every day, with a little humour, lots of repetition and a warm ending. Our Little Daily Life series is made for exactly this: four 24-page read-aloud picture books, each about one routine (bedtime, getting dressed, brushing teeth and saying goodbye at preschool), with about 200 words and 4 to 6 minutes of reading time.
Children of 6 to 8 often love books they can explore on their own: detailed pictures, clues to find and a story that rewards looking twice. The House of a Hundred Windows, the first Look Closer book, is a 92-page seek-and-find picture book for ages 4 to 8 about a girl, a runaway budgie and a house full of new neighbors.
Yes. Just One More is a bedtime picture book for ages 3 to 5 about a child who asks for one more drink, one more question, one more goodnight. Pip’s dad turns the stalling into a goodnight round for every toy, so the day can end gently. It works well as the last story of the night.
The Getting-Ready Parade is a funny picture book for ages 3 to 5 about getting dressed all by yourself: socks on hands, two feet in one trouser leg, a shirt on backwards. Pip keeps trying, asks for just enough help, and makes it out to splash in the puddles.
Yes. The Blueberry Smile is a picture book for ages 3 to 5 about brushing teeth properly instead of in a flash. Pip shouts “Done!” until the mirror shows a blueberry on his front tooth. It comes with Blueberry Brush Hunt, a free tooth-brushing game for young children that plays in the browser.
A Goodbye is a picture book for ages 3 to 5 about saying goodbye at the preschool door. Pip tries a big hug, a long wave and a nose boop before inventing a tiny goodbye he can keep in his pocket. Many families use it to build their own short goodbye ritual for drop-off.
Yes. The House of a Hundred Windows (Look Closer, book 1) is a 92-page seek-and-find story for ages 4 to 8. Mira’s budgie escapes into a house with a hundred windows, and children search busy rooms for clues, hidden feathers and wordless side stories. It is also a gentle book about moving to a new home and finding your voice, and comes with Feather Hunt, a free window puzzle game.
Yes. Blueberry Brush Hunt is a free tooth-brushing game for ages 3 to 5, and Feather Hunt is a free number-clue puzzle for ages 4 to 8. Both play in the browser on phones, tablets and computers, with no download and no sign-up.
Yes. Each Little Daily Life book is a small 6 × 6 inch (15 × 15 cm) paperback that fits little hands, and the four books together make a gift set that covers the whole day, from morning to bedtime. For children of 4 to 8, The House of a Hundred Windows is a big seek-and-find book to pore over together.
